Implicit stereotype

An implicit stereotype is the unconscious attribution of specific traits to members of an external social group, shaped by experiences and learned associations. These stereotypes can influence perceptions and behaviors, often without the individual's awareness, and can persist even when they consciously reject such biases.

Example

For instance, a manager may unconsciously associate male candidates with leadership qualities and favor them for promotions, even if she consciously believes in gender equality.

How to overcome this bias
